By downloading, installing, or using Memko (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Memko is a mobile application designed to help people learn through personalized courses, flashcards, and guided practice.

  • Local-First Architecture: The App operates primarily on your device. Your courses, decks, cards, and progress are stored locally.
  • AI Features: The App uses artificial intelligence to assist with creating courses, cards, definitions, and other study material.

3. User Data and Backup

3.1. Local Storage The App stores your learning content, images, audio, and study history locally on your device. We do not maintain a cloud backup of your content.

3.2. Data Loss You are responsible for maintaining backups. We are not liable for data loss resulting from uninstalling the App; loss, theft, or damage to your device; or operating-system updates or resets.

4. AI-Generated Content

4.1. Accuracy Disclaimer Third-party artificial-intelligence technology may generate courses, flashcards, definitions, and other study material. AI systems can make errors. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content. Verify generated information before relying on it for study.

4.2. Usage You agree to use AI features responsibly and not to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to use the App to violate applicable laws or regulations; reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; or upload or generate content that is infringing, obscene, or offensive.

6. Intellectual Property

  • The App: The App's code, design, and graphics are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
  • Your Content: You retain ownership of the study material you create. By using AI features, you grant us and our third-party providers a limited license to process submitted material solely to provide the requested AI service.

7. Third-Party Services

The App may contain links to or use third-party services. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR THAT YOUR DATA WILL BE SECURE FROM LOSS.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM OR CONNECTED WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the revision date above. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
